How do I connect and power up?
First, connect a coaxial cable from your cable wall outlet to the Cable In/RF In connection on your digital adapter. Make sure all your connections are secure, but to avoid damaging the connectors, do not over-tighten.
Then, connect the other coaxial cable from the Cable In/RF In connection on your TV to the To TV connection on your digital adapter.
Plug the power cord into your digital adapter, then into an electrical outlet.
Turn your TV on and tune to channel 3. Set the switch on you digital adapter to channel 3, as well. If your screen remains black, change your TV and your digital adapter to channel 4.
Place the batteries into your remote control. Point the remote at the digital adapter or remote control signal receiver if you are using it.
How do I activate my account?
After you have connected your Starter Kit, you will need to call to activate the digital adapter. Before attempting to activate, find the “first 30 days of service” card located in your Starter Kit. To activate call 855-75-PREPAID and follow the instructions. Provide the requested information including your telephone number, zip code and activation code. You will be asked to create a PIN for future account access.
How much does it cost?
The Starter Kit includes a digital adapter, remote control signal receiver, remote control with 2 AA batteries, all necessary cables and an activation code for 30 days of XFINITY TV service for a price of $69.95 (plus shipping and taxes). Additional service refills cost $15 for 7 days or $45 for 30 days.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Do I need to have a credit card?
To purchase your XFINITY TV Prepaid Starter Kit by phone at 855-75-PREPAID, you will need a form of payment. You can refill your account using a credit, debit, prepaid gift card, or refill code. Are there any requirements to get the service?
You must be at least 18 years of age, live in a Comcast TV-ready home, and be in an area where this service is offered. Also, your address cannot have an active Comcast or XFINITY account. Check here to see if XFINITY Prepaid Service is currently available at your address.
What if I’m already a Comcast customer?
XFINITY TV Prepaid Service cannot be used at an address that has an active billed-service account with Comcast.
Can I use my existing digital adapter?
XFINITY TV Prepaid Service can only be accessed through the digital adapter included in the Starter Kit.
What do I do if the remote control does not work?
Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and your remote can “see” the front of the digital adapter. Refer to the remote control user guide for instructions on “pairing” your remote to the digital adapter. If you are using the remote control signal receiver, make sure it is connected firmly to the digital adapter and visible from the front of the TV.
What if there is no light illuminated on the front of the digital adapter?
Make sure the power cord is attached to the digital adapter and plugged into a live electrical outlet.
What if there is no picture on the TV and the light on the digital adapter is blinking?
Make sure you have called to activate the digital adapter. Try waiting a few minutes. If the light is still blinking, call Comcast at 855-75-PREPAID.
What if there is no picture on the TV and the light on the digital adapter is solid?
Make sure the TV and digital adapter are both set to the same channel (both 3 or both 4). Try switching the TV and digital adapter to the other channel (3 or 4). If you’re also connected to a VCR, make sure the VCR is turned on. Make sure the digital adapter is connected directly to the cable wall outlet. Make sure all the cables are finger tight.
Why do I see black bars on the side of my TV screen?
Check the screen size settings on your TV (refer to the TV user guide/owner’s manual to make sure that it is in the 16x9 mode).
Is my remote control a universal remote?
The remote supplied with your digital adapter will control your TV and digital adapter. It will not control other equipment, such as DVD players or recorders, or VCRs.
I have HD – why can't I see HD picture?
This service currently does not support HD. However, you can still watch TV.
